Wide - Angle Stereoscopic Communication with Four Cameras

چکیده
In projection-based virtual reality systems, such as the CAVE, users can observe immersive stereoscopic images. Most of the images, however, are synthesized from polygonal models of the virtual world. This is because the resolution of the real images of the physical world is not enough for large screen systems. In this paper, four cameras are utilized to improve the quality of wide-angle stereoscopic communication. Experimental results show the potential applicability of the proposed method to the next-generation augmented spatial communication.
